Anyone who has ever lived on the sea or even read books about the sea, you know tides are important. In the Bay of Fundy, the tides rise and fall more than anyplace on earth. As I noted in the post on tidal energy, they estimate that the flow in the Bay is equal to 4 times that of all the rivers in the world. The water level changes 25 and more in places.
